How much longer will the Substack party last? I saw rumours last week that Facebook were going to buy it. I can envisage that you will end up having to use your own website for publishing articles in the not too distant future
Yes, I am very aware / concerned about this too. I sincerely hope I'm wrong - and Substack has been great so far - but so many alternative voices depend on it that luring them all here and then abruptly pulling the plug would be a great "long game" way of disabling the opposition. That's why I will always maintain my website, as well as giving people the option of donating straight to my bank rather than using Substack (or other third-party platform) that could be taken away. Hopefully Substack will hold out against selling out though.
I'm disappointed but not surprised that YouTube removed your channel - hopefully it will have the Streisand effect. Thank you for all of your hard work and keen insight, and for continuing on in spite of all of the bans.
I know it’s practically a kiddie site but twitter has interesting censorship criteria. You can be as offensive as you want to most groups – Muslims, Jews, Russians, gays etc. But the moment you even make a wry remark against that fabled “trans community ”, you’re in deep trouble. We must pay the proper respect to opportunist male predators and kids brainwashed into genital mutilation.
Sorry to hear about that experience Miri. I completely appreciate the impact it would have being removed from YouTube. Other video platforms just aren’t anywhere near the same league. It’s tough. You may need to move your banking to an institution that won't block access to your funds (like they did in Canada) because they can and will do it at some point if you keep telling the truth. 🙏
