"We have to deal with the anti-vax campaigns because they will cost lives, and if we have to pass emergency legislation to deal with them, I'd be quite prepared to work with the government on that, we could pass it in a couple of days in parliament.
You make a very lean and persuasive argument, Miri. The loathsome task of voting in a toxic system in order to reduce the chances of even further torturous totalitarian toxicity and enslavement is truly soul-sapping - but it's an odious task that must be endured. Any revolutionary or alternative solutions meanwhile seem remote or invisible. We are stuck with this hideous half-life reality.
Wow, I'm gonna have to learn to play chess, playing draughts is just not gonna cut it! My simple thinking thought voting in a rigged system gave it an endorsement however you have convinced me otherwise, thank you.
You are right Miri but it’s hard not to get despondent when semi awake people say they are going to vote for Richard Tice’s party (whatever it’s called) when it’s so bleeding obvious that he is a minion of Big Evil.
I was sad to see Bob Moran tweeting about not voting, I hope he reads your piece & reconsiders
Gosh I really hope people don't cop out and not vote. Our seat is a safe Labour one, sadly, but I currently plan to spoil my ballot paper (unless the Heritage Party can field someone, which seems unlikely at such short notice). What I'd like to do is be able to deliver a short pithy notice into people's letterboxes round where we live, telling them the essence of what's in Miri's article. But I don't have the energy, or currently the health, to do it unless someone got them printed and would help me. I live in sunny Streatham in South London!! But well done, Miri, for having another go at us!
Voting matters because, although the two main parties are controlled, each presents a different face. That's why there were such ridiculous shenanigans over the US 2000 vote to ensure George W got in. The US govt had already committed themselves to the "war on terror" before 9/11 just so happened to spark off that "war". And they needed the Republicans - as the "war party" - to be in charge.
Another great article Miri - may your alliteration never fail you.
We have local elections in Ireland in a couple of weeks, some surprises are expected.
I will post the link to this article on social media. I have been making a similar argument for ages - everyone votes, even if they stay home, but you put it very well indeed. Thanks.
I agree with your argument Miri but where I live a monkey with a red rosette would win the election. I hope to support an independent candidate but am unsure if one is available. I will check of course. Regrettably the Heritage Party do not have a candidate here. Probably keeping their resources for other areas where they are likely to have more of a chance of making an impact. I can't vote for LibLabConGreen and am too old to campaign personally. I would support an Independent candidate if at all possible.
Very important article Miri. I’ve previously fallen into the trap of ‘not participating’ but as you say we are in the system whether we like it or not. A vote for The Heritage Party or independent freedom party is definitely the way to go 👍🏻
Thank you, Mick, and yes, so have I - I had never voted until 2020, then by 2021 found myself standing as a candidate! We've definitely been seriously misled about politics and voting, but it's great that more and more of us are reconsidering our previous stances.
If you have friends or others who will not vote, "if voting made a difference, they'd ban it" type of argument, then MiriAF's article might open their eyes. It definitely does make a difference.
Thanks again for your persuasive eloquence, Miri. I'm in Leeds North East. It doesn't look like there are any independents standing, and I don't fancy getting involved myself. Would you advise that I go in spoil my ballot ("Fuck the WEF!") or just vote for anyone except Fabian Hamilton (the Labour candidate?)
Thank you, Simon. Spoiling your ballot is a very valid option, and also you could consider sending a version of the letter I have just sent my local candidates, to your own, to see what they say...https://miri.substack.com/p/letter-to-general-election-candidates
I forwarded Mattias Desmet's WHO piece to my labour MP with the below letter, not expecting a reply:
Dear Fabian,
Please read carefully the below piece by Mattias Desmet. Your party leader and WEF acolyte, Sir Starmer appears to be all-in for granting the kind of totalitarian control that is sought by the WHO in the name of "public health". I sincerely hope, but do not yet know, that you are able to recognize the real danger to humanity, and you remain uncompromised enough to speak out against the WHO's tyrannical ambitions. If you believe my tone is paranoid or hysterical then you have not been paying attention for the past four years and you cannot help.

Many thanks, Priscilla, hopefully someone local to you will see this and offer their assistance!
I'm hoping so!!
Very persuasive arguments here. Thanks Miri .

All the best with your elections - hopefully some nice surprises!

Great letter. Let us all know if any of them bothers to reply!
Convinced me to register as an overseas voter. ✅
