I understand from a comment on this page that it's your birthday....wishing you a very happy day and a wonderful year ahead!

Really enjoyed listening to this, the second podcast. Thanks to you, to Leo and to Francis for making these valuable conversations available to us.

I appreciate the pauses taken between speakers; this is such a welcome change from the constant barrage of verbosity I sometimes hear on other podcasts. The pauses allow me to reflect on what's been said and to sometimes have that "aha" moment when one of you has just put into words the ideas and thoughts that have been floating around nebulously in my head without form or language. The pauses also show how real and unstage-managed this conversation is - another welcome change from the norm.

The 90 minutes passed very quickly for me. I didn't consider it too long at all, it allowed a good amount of back-and-forth, while you were considering what had just been said.

"Rather than us opting out of society, we need society to opt out of madness" - love this quotation from Francis! What a wonderful world it would be were that so; I hold the vision for that world.

I completely agree with you, Miri, that there should be no line in the sand regarding free speech. None at all. In order to have a well-functioning society, we need to be able to respectfully disagree and allow conversations and debate in a constructive manner on all subjects.

All things hidden, unspoken, and unacknowledged remain "in the dark" which in my opinion is very unhealthy - at both the personal and societal level. I read (many years ago) an article about the first wave of European explorers to come across the Polynesian people. The article stated that the indigenous people carried out their coupling in full view of the rest of their tribe, as was their tradition. It was seen as normal and no great attention was paid to it. Interestingly, the article said that there had never been a case of sexual deviance or rape among these people...

I find it sad - and somewhat ironical - to see the divisions being created within the truth movement on free speech. I consider attacking or trying to smother another's opinion as narcissistic behaviour - another form of madness which society is being encouraged to accept.

Looking forward to the next one!

Really enjoy these chats thanks Miri. It comes across how well the three of you get along and respect each other’s opinions.

It was worth it for the Deirdre Barlow tattoo story alone 😄
