Also people have been preconditioned to tracking devices on smart phones with apps like Apple's Find My Friends etc. which is useful to "keep an eye on your children's whereabouts in today's increasingly dangerous world". Except, of course, it can only keep an eye on the location of their phone which could have been stolen or deliberately left somewhere whereas an implantable chip ...

Yes, very good point - or of course a phone can run out of power just as the child is calling for help, as was alleged to have happened with Jay Slater.

Yes, of course, Wendell could be another Richard D Hall, pushing the same agenda - I'd not thought of that! Love the way your mind works, Miri (so different from mine, as someone once said I couldn't see further than my own hands!!)

Don't know if you play chess, but if so, I can imagine you'd be a formidable opponent.

Thank you! I don't play chess, but I'd like to learn (although I have been told that the strategy game of choice for the ruling classes is not chess, but Go, which, if you look carefully, in sometimes product placed in Hollywood Whodunnits...).

I'd not heard of Go before today. I've just looked it up. It's interesting in that the aim is to capture territory.....exactly what the elite are all about with their land grabs and genocides.

I'll keep my eyes peeled whenever I watch TV, as murder mysteries are my favourite genre, although I don't watch that much these days, because the agenda-driving is so blatant, whether it's Hollywood, the BBC or ITV. Talking of which, I'm currently watching ITV''s "Unforgotten", and so far, each series has been very well written, acted and directed. Interestingly, one of the murder suspects (Marty) is a conspiracy theorist who is also extremely violent, mentally unwell and all round vile....of course! In summary, Marty is seeking revenge because a "truther" told him to stay away from vaccines. Marty persuaded his parents to abstain from the jabs and his father then "died from Covid"!!! So, sadly, one of my favourite shows has also succumbed big-time to the propaganda machine...I'm still watching to the end though, because it's a cracking storyline and I want to know who did it!

Be happy to teach you Miri and had heard the same about Go and others.

I know Miles Mathis thinks it's a mugs game, and maybe it is, but I'm rather good at it and believe it encourages forward thinking. Or dare I say it, ultimately psychological deception through setting traps for thinking.

For me it helps quite my mind and concentrate on immediate problems; especially when the clock's ticking.

I am sure McCann's DNA tests are in their file. So what is a problem?

Expand full comment

It is indeed - which is what's lead to the conclusion that there is a "strong genetic link" to Gerry McCann - but apparently in order to prove parentage definitively, a new test has to be carried out every time, e.g., every time a man has his paternity challenged over a certain child, he has to take a new test, it can't be proved definitively with the DNA already on file from any previous test.

Thank you for the explanation.

I presume there is a worry the sample might become contaminated if it is not fresh :)

Two mini thoughts: Wendell is a very primitive anagram of End Well. Word magic? Plus the vast amount of publicity that 'Cuddle Cat' got during those years of the max tabloid feeding frenzy: an extreme exposure of an albeit stuffed toy cat as surrogate Maddy, as a hope filled sniffing beacon. So the poster kitten of the upcoming moggie jabathon perhaps?

However, the rapid response of the UK security machine points to much grubbier origins surrounding the disappearance. A reactive scramble rather than a finely honed plan coming together. Unless it was a double triple reverse 4D chess gambit, which I'm not sure we're capable of setting in motion let alone seeing through to the end.

Now where's that Mark Warner brochure...?

Oh, that's very clever, good spot! Given this woman seems to have multiple other surnames as well - Faustyna, Wendelt - that she is primarily referred to as "Wendell" is probably a bit of a tell....

I do think the whole thing was staged from the start: a performative "child abduction drama" portrayed by actors but presented to us as real. Note the airport footage of Gerry McCann on his way to Portugal stating he "wasn't going away to enjoy himself" - therefore seeming to imply it was not a holiday but a work trip - and that one of the group, Bridget, was a former Crimewatch producer responsible for directing crime reconstructions...

Yes, oddity upon oddity. Although have to say, Crimewatch reconstructions have always struck me as the most risible aspect of that show, so not sure about that. I think (if crime there was, m'lud) that the whole 'GPs and docs on a jolly' was possible so dodgy and dark, involving so many interconnected houses of cards that when a tragic accident happened UK PLC had to get involved pronto, as the blowback would have been monumental. That explains the timeline being moved forward, the controlled staging after the event, and curious hires like Clarence Mitchell, and involvement of Gamble (Time Machine?). But it's only what I've read.

Obfuscation / turbo muddying of all waters became their only way out.

Although I've not seen photos, it seems to me that what you said about End Well not looking much like MMcC is rather key. Call me old fashioned but not looking much like the missing person is a bit problematic. Also what about that weird eye deformation they banged on about at the time. Did that just go away?

Anyways, better take the old Cadaver Dogs out for a walk.

Good point. Why choose a child with that particularly unusual feature in one of her eyes? That's not easily replicated or explained away, surely...?

Good article. It will be interesting to see how this all pans out. Though I have to say that I don't pay much attention to any of this and hadn't even heard of Wendell etc etc until you mentioned her. It's not high on my list of must-watch/read/listen things. But I agree, microchipping of cats and/or children is definitely to be avoided at all costs!

I imagine a typical 'Daily Mail' comment after the show is over ......"and now, Julia Wendell (Julia End Well) has two new furry friends to comfort her - safely chipped to ensure they never stray or come to harm."

And then, of course, a feature film will inevitably follow.

Whatever the case, it will confirm human chipping and act as a great distraction - two aims accomplished with one budget.
