The subject of health has been on my mind a lot recently, not because there's anything wrong with mine (at least not physically, yes, thank you, hate-fans...), but because several people I know have recently been diagnosed with serious health problems.
I really love your articles - not only the content, but also the delivery, eg "Keith Richards figures [who] strenuously avoid anything remotely strenuous" - I rarely get through them without having several good laughs along the way, which (to use a really bad analogy) helps the medicine go down. I haven't seen my GP this century, and assume he's long retired.
Ha! Exactly my thoughts laid out here. Thanks for putting them down 😄
Years ago I started working in aged care here in Australia. First thing I noticed was the amount of pharmaceuticals they were all on and a very low protein diet. It was a great introduction to how it all (didn't) worked. 👍🏻
Another great piece and synchronistic with a conversation I had last week with my awake friend about the need to avoid being tested for anything.
Something from the essay was playing on my mind when I woke up early this morning which made me re-read it (and the excellent linked post from last year). Do you have any inkling as to why your previously healthy unjabbed friends are so seriously sick? I am wondering if they are in an intimate relationship with someone who wasn’t as wise as they were?
Many thanks, Deenzy. In relation to your query, I think it's because (and I know at least one of them does too) it's because they went to get tested. One of them went to hospital after a 'funny turn' and got diagnosed with a serious condition. He now regrets it, lamenting that if he'd just let it pass, he would probably now be fine.
Walking past a local pharmacy recently I noticed a sign in the window saying ‘Are you over 40 years old?...and NOT on blood pressure medication? Ask for a FREE Blood Pressure check TODAY.’
Imagine the arrogance of people not being on BP meds when they’re over 40 😄
Avoid the doc and gather- easy and fun. But cut the sugar is tough when Dreyer's is on sale at Super-1 for $2.68!
<<They may be "on their own" in Wetherspoon's, insofar as they're not there with a friend, but they're not "alone", as they would be at home>> Did anyone else think of Billy Joel's Piano Man here? “They're sharing a drink called loneliness, but it's better than drinking alone.”
Miri how can I get in contact with Informed Consent Matters? We have discovered something about the childhood schedule we'd like to bring to your attention.

Thank you, Mike, that's excellent to hear - both that my articles elicit a chuckle and that you are not well acquainted with your GP!

Thanks TeeCee, and that's very interesting (and alarming!) to hear.

You’re spot on as always Miri 👍🏻
