Some councillors are 'paper' candidates, who don't actually canvass but are put up because nobody else is available. Some are not local residents. The ruling party will adopt a line (as do the other parties when in power) and that is what you may expect to get, if they deem it necessary to reply. Would a FOI request help? More truly independents please!

Some of the more legitimately independent independents did reply, one of whom assured me an investigation will be forthcoming (he has some authority over some of the councillors I initially wrote to), so we will see what happens... But yes, I will pursue other avenues if needs be.

I hope so, best wishes.

It's so galling what these pound shop politicos get up to when the clue to their proper role is in the name: "local" councillor. If they want to get deeply involved in the goings on in distant locations then a role in the foreign office would seem more appropriate.

Absolutely, Trevor. It's yet another sign of how deeply in contempt they hold the people they supposedly "represent".

You continue to amaze me with your insight and dots connecting.

Catherine Austen Fitts likes to reiterate a quote from The Gladiator: “You have a great name. He must kill your name before he kills you.” Could it be a similar MO by the councillor? Macron has tried something like that in France also: https://www.lefigaro.fr/vox/politique/2017/02/06/31001-20170206ARTFIG00209-emmanuel-macron-et-le-reniement-de-la-culture-francaise.php

Thank you, Johan, very interesting. It seems there is a lockstep "Europeans have no culture" agenda at play, which would of course be instrumental should any plan to eradicate European cultures exist. But I'm sure the Kalergi Plan is just a conspiracy theory...

It would seem the local council has kept it's promise - three strikes and... out. They had no answer, will not answer and don't care. Perhaps it's just a cultural thing.

Keep at them. We should all start doing it.

Q1: The conflict, bombing, killing, displacement, genocide in Gaza has been going on for years. How is it that there are still people living there and why don't they leave? Why start families?

Q2: How is it that Gazans always manage to be recording a building with their mobile phones when suddenly it is hit by a misile? e.g. https://www.bitchute.com/video/18IhCGIGCpH4

An interesting and disturbing story. I too have often pondered why so many middle-class white liberals seem to hate their own country / culture / even children as much as some of them apparently do. I remember reading 'Liberal Fascism' a few years ago by Jonah Goldberg which seemed to have a few answers. Goldberg is a mainstream commentator so it's limited hangout / Overton window stuff, but still worth a read.

Local councils, what a nightmare. The far left dogma, as you so rightly mention, is fabulously de rigueur, par for the course. And utterly divisive. The billionaire owners of media conglomerates will pay the likes of Jordan Peterson handsome amounts of money to try and trash the woke brigade, and promote Israel, while he’s at it. The windup value is immense. You could say: it’s the bread and butter default position of the ruling class. Play both sides of the whole shit sandwich. Keep the polemic up and running. Right wing fascist/racist/anti immigration/… yada yada. — versus - the ‘leftist/tribalist/half arsed Marxist/Socialist dupes (the hard left.. people who should know better.!?) — to go about their business at local council meetings, or wherever, effectively, destroying our Country. And wearing muzzles when told to.supporting Big Pharma and ‘vaccines’... Julian Assange.. Palestine. The Rainbow Reich.. Wokeism.. Climate horseshit. Etc etc. . It’s technocratic feudalism (with the media as the army, and our overlords cracking the whip). And wow, does it sting.!! … I’m also of the opinion that politicians and councillors (useless, inept, and wholly captured in the headlights) are also fed on a different diet of lies, and receive completely separate memos, from above…. SNAFU… !!!

It’s all going sideways. Leftwards.

I often think South Africa (with its close connections to UK) has been a sort of Guinea Pig state. After Apartheid (which in itself could well have been a sanctioned test run for something) “Affirmative Action” was implemented mid-90s. Nothing worthwhile came of it. On the contrary; most effective people left the country in droves because there was no future for their careers/family/dreams. There is an Afrikaans saying that translates to “when the cat is away, the mouse becomes the boss”…

(And to be clear, I am not of the opinion that Apartheid is the way to go, but the inverse is neither an effective redress nor a solution.)
