In what should have been one of major scoops of the century, Alex Kriel from the Thinking Coalition exposed a few days ago that the UK has become a de facto dictatorship.
I watched a couple of episodes of Years and Years as a colleague said I reminded her of one of the characters. I immediately knew which one (the protestor who went to the nuclear bomb site). HOW embarrassing is that? Anyway, it all because just too unwatchable for me (it was the prolonged sex scenes, which I always find grim combined with the totally unbelievable characters based on no one I've ever met and I meet quite a lot of people). However, I was thinking that a lot of what they are saying hasn't happened, and I think a lot of it won't.
As I see it, what's happening now is people who value their integrity are directing their energies in places other than mainstream society and that's making the mainstream dull and depressing.
Increasingly, I think we'll win people into our genuinely diverse and inclusive group. By that I mean supporting human values rather than the sort of tick-box "inclusivity" of Years and Years (as soon as my husband realised the final of the four siblings was in a wheelchair after the gay one, one married to a black woman and childless right-on hippie he laughed and left the room saying he just couldn't watch it). Ultimately, people's souls need nourishing and, as the free spirited, free thinking people all start to leave these mainstream situations, I just know others will follow. Also, if the alternative is a fascist state of any persuasion, we become quite an attractive alternative!

The creeping authoritarianism you refer to isn’t abstract anymore — it’s legislative fact.
When the plandemic started I helped out with a group trying to protect our rights and in particular reading through The Coronavirus Act 2020 and the multitude of statutory instruments issued under that legislation.
I also started to investigate primary Acts of Parliament passed since 2021,that erode basic civil liberties. There are at least 23 that were enacted by both of the main political parties with minimal opposition. Many more have come via secondary legislation.
These sweeping powers are wielded by governments elected with the backing of just a fraction of the population — the current regime commands Parliament with only 20% of the electorate’s support. That’s not democracy. That’s parliamentary authoritarianism giving the illusion of a free democracy.
When does authoritarianism become a fully fledged dictatorship and how far away are we from that?
I have started a petition to require power be given to the people to veto laws.

It won’t fix everything, but it could open a door. Because as you said — they only get away with this if we let them and from my perspective doing nothing is not an option.

Incredible. I see the signs of encroaching doom yet you've made it crystal clear. It's inconceivable that the heights of humanity's achievement are set to fall yet it's already on the way down. The perpetrators think they'll get away with it, sure, they'll avoid a courtroom but they'll have to live in the ruins. Are they so stupid? Or programmed and compromised? I've heard that Devil's Breath (scopolamine from the Duboisia plant, cultivated at Kingaroy Queensland) is used.

have been one of the all time great 'money laundering'... All this Coupled with the acquiesence of ruling bodies around the world: Russians, Chinese, and, Outer Mongolian Plate spinning world Champions [1968], all going along with the American Astronauts on the Lunar surface deal: one can't really un-see the image of deceit and egregious collaboration, corruption and downright Gaslighting [mark 6; full on].. by those old powers that deffo shouldn't be.
And then sort of add on: Twin Towers, and The Un-Patriot-Act, being thrown in our Faces: rigorous Airport searches; people being lifted on suspicion. Essentially, a punishment for the public; a tightening of Laws to make our lives much harder and fabulously more difficult...
And if we again, pop the Covid Circus into that mix: virtually all the 'Politicians' in Parliament [give or take a few wretched lackeys, who were compromising themselves or taking bribes, or off on an all expenses paid holiday], were, wholeheartedly voting to lock our sorry asses down. So, we've all witnessed the long marches through the Intitutions; and the nonsense that is 'The Left-- Right paradigm. And all the other Kidology and Amateur dramatics: look over there, not over here. The fake bombings. The Fairy on the Christmas Tree. The preaching at the Temple of Transgenderism. And the Unrecognisable gunk that posed as 'Rice pudding'- if you were unfortunate enough to have to stay at 'School' for lunch.

1. Enforced central bank digital currency with digital ID - check out how far away the nearest cash machine is compared to 2023.
2. Enforced petrol / diesel rationing - check out how few stations exist compared to 10 years ago. What a surprise! EV subsidies are on again, but only for those below £37000, which is where China exporters thrive.
3. Enforced property purchase at prices set by the Government, available to 'special interest' groups - see A Rayners 'English Devolution and Community Empowerment Bill, now at the 2nd reading. Schedule 27, a provision giving local authorities the power to create a list of so-called ‘Community Assets’.
4. Creation if an elevated klass via definition of a very specific made up term, via a committee which will keep it's advice secret and is made up of people from only faith. This will finish off free speech.

The moment a man in Englad had to present "authorised identification" to give his voice to someone else to represent him in Commons the relations British State - British Man as beneficial for the man had ended. It is now a commercial agrrement between "voter ID holder" and "member of parliament" with known terms and conditions. There are penalties for voters for refusal to folow TnCs.
There are no people in the agreement and it is official.
Why to keep choosing new lier again and again and trust the next one will be better!?
