In this case a murder rather than a suicide.
Ann seems to be too honest and upright to be inveigled into this event. In my opinion the only way she could have been an asset to this scenario is that she was blackmailed in the way that Jennifer Arcuri alleged Boris was subjected to, i.e. a threat that he was placed in an impossible position. The Leveson inquiry I have now nicknamed 'The Levity inquiry' due to the number of instances it's guidelines have been so laughably breached by those in power.
It's never been more important to laser focus on those top 5 (preferably top 3).

I don't suppose I am the only one to struggle over the voluntary involvement of Ann Widdecombe. Anne has a deserved reputation for pugnacious independence and honesty. The case of Dr David Kelly seems to me to be a situation that could be compared to this one. An apparent case of suicide and used to assist the powers that be. In this case a murder rather than a suicide.
Ann seems to be too honest and upright to be inveigled into this event. In my opinion the only way she could have been an asset to this scenario is that she was blackmailed in the way that Jennifer Arcuri alleged Boris was subjected to, i.e. a threat that he was placed in an impossible position. Whatever that was, but it caused him to utterly change. See JD's interview with Ms Arcuri

Thanks for your much appreciated reply. I did happen to watch most of the discussion with Francis and Leo. There is more to Ann than meets the eye but considering other things that happen like 7/7, Boris and Dr David Kelly, nothing should be a surprise.

Completely different scenarios.
Henry Nowak, unlike Widdecombe, wasn’t a famous politician or renowned public figure. His death was in no way, shape, or form a political assassination. Reform didn’t use it as evidence that Reform MPs are in danger or use it as a catalyst to up their security.
Miri has explained many times that Reform need to present as moderate in order to get elected, and then once in government, they will pivot to hard right.
Like all politicians, they will lie to get elected and then change their tune once they have power.
So exactly why were Nowak's murderer and accomplices presented as Sikhs?
And for Reform to be able put in place "extremist" policies that weren't in their manifesto the state bureaucracy, police, CPS, courts and House of Lords would all have to turn out to be largely composed of and almost entirely led by actors who have spent the last few decades pretending, wouldn't they?

Turning to the second point: directing a few hundred MPs - and they never controlled all of them - is a hell of a lot easier than directing the entire state apparatus. I'm absolutely convinced that these people overwhelmingly either believe or are terrified of opposing the batshit craziness - Islam is the religion of peace; a transwoman is a woman; a few thousand West Indians rebuilt the UK after WW2; diversity is our strength - that has determined policy for decades. The idea that these people can suddenly be turned strikes me as implausible.
And I can't remember the last time a politician turned out to be to the "right" of his professed position.
